The 2098-DSD-010-SE is an Allen-Bradley 3000 Ultra Digital Servo Drive that is integrated with Serial Realtime Communications System (SERCOS) capability. It is used to implement motion control in indexing or multiple axis. This drive is built designed for use in wide variety of industrial applications especially in the manufacturing industries, within product assembly, cutting, and other automated processes and tools that require high-level of precision motion control.

This Ultra 3000 Digital Multi-Axis Servo Drive requires an input voltage of 100-240VAC rms, 1-Phase with frequency of 47-63 Hz. It has a continuous output power of 1kW with Continuous Output Current 5A and Intermittent Output Current of 15A. The 2098-DSD-010-SE has an energy adsorption capability rated at 125 Joules for 115VAC supply voltage and 51 Joules for 230VAC input. It is built with One (1) Serial Communication port that supports RS232 and RS485 communication standard used for integrating or daisy chaining servo drives to form a network.

The 2098-DSD-010-SE is shipped with front panel interfaces such as Motor Power Connection Terminal, AC Input Power Connections, DC Bus Connections for Active Shunt Resistor Kit, Motor Power Cable Shield Clamp, CN2 15-pin Motor Feedback Connector, and CN1 44-pin User I/O Connector including the CN3 9-pin Serial Port Connector. It is also built with a Network status indicator, Two (2) Node Address switches for setting the Least Significant Digit (LSD) and Most Significant Digit (MSD) switch. It also supports a data communication rate of 2MB, 4MB and 8MB. This drive also has an embedded Seven (7) segment display intended for Logic Power and Status display.

The 2098-DSD-010-SE is built with a Digital PID Position Regulator with feed-forward control capability and a Digital PID velocity regulator with 250 µs update time. It has 8 optically-isolated digital inputs 4 optically-isolated digital outputs and a single Normally-Open (NO) Relay output and the drive’s maximum I/O response time is 100 µs. The 2098-DSD-010-SE also has a ±10V 8 bits resolution and 2mA max Analog output and a 4-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D), ±10V COMMAND Analog input with 10-bit A/D, 0 to 10V DC ILIMIT Analog input. The drive communicates via the fiber-optic SERCOS ring with 4 and 8-Mbit communication speed and with 01-99 Redistribution points (nodes). It also communicates through the base RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 communication port with 1200-38400 selectable baud rates using the 9-pin female D-sub serial port connector (CN3). The 2098-DSD-010-SE has a total weight of 2.1kg, and dimensions of 98.1mm x 32.77mm x 65.02mm (3.89in x 1.29in x 2.56in).
